Outlying Fells

Galleries of the Outlying Fells as categorised in Wainwright’s 1974 work, The Outlying Fells of Lakeland. By and large these fells are modest in nature, with Walna Scar being the tallest (621 metres) and Humphrey Head (53 metres) beings the smallest. As might be expected, these mostly sit on the periphery of the Lake District. Most are clustered in a great southern arc moving from Haweswater in the east to Ennerdale in the west.
